About Us

Prior to and during the Civil War, many slaves were aided in there escape across the Ohio river by Brown County residents John Rankin and John Parker. General and later President Ulysess S. This rich history has influenced the inventory of Schoolhouse Quilts. 1800's Reproduction fabrics abound as well as quilt books with a historical focus. Homespuns, primitive country prints, florals, batiks and novelties round out the offerings. Housed in late 1800's building our inventory is displayed in a variety of antique cupboards and benches. Come join us for coffee at the shop, but if you can't please enjoy viewing our website.
